Here are some comments from some of my wonderful students:
”Since making my reel, I got cast in my first animation project (YouTube but pitching to networks) AND got an LA agent. All this to say, thank you for taking the time to make my reel great.” –Noelle Fabian Dragon
”I took Catherine’s Animmersion workshop a few months after COVID hit the U.S. in 2020. We ended up doing it over Zoom, and it was better than any in-person acting/performing class I had taken before. She was able to effectively teach actors at varying levels which, as a tutor myself, is impressive. I felt she gave the exact voice acting insight, both artistic and business, that I was looking for. She helped bring out the best in my performance, which is why I decided to work with her when I felt ready to make my animation and commercial demos. She took the time to ensure we skillfully captured what I could do. Before we began, I worried I was not going to be fully satisfied with any demo I did. But now, I am not shy to show them off to whoever will listen and have gotten several compliments on their quality. I highly recommend Catherine for any actor who wants to pursue voiceover. She really wants to see her students succeed.”

“I cannot recommend Catherine highly enough. Thanks to her guidance, talent, experience, and know-how I now have a voice over reel that I am thrilled to bring to market. Everyone who hears it is impressed with the quality of the production, and any compliments I get as a performer are owed in huge part to Catherine’s incredible ear and skillful direction. She offers an atmosphere of true collaboration which I feel allowed me to put my best foot forward. As a result, I felt comfortable and confident that I was getting my money-and-time’s worth throughout the process, and I am more than satisfied with the outcome. There are so many factors in this business which cannot be controlled, so it feels great to have the confidence of having created a high quality calling card.”

“Catherine’s Animmersion class literally changed my life! So much so that after I took the class, I had an audition at my agent’s office. The booth director, who has known and recorded me for over 7 years, said “what have you been doing? Your talent is on another level now!” I explained to him that I had taken this amazing class (Catherine’s), and he said, “well its working”. Since then, my agent has sent me many more animation auditions, and I’ve had several great callbacks and booked a couple of video games! Not only did her tools enable me to create fascinating characters for animation but they also made me stronger in other areas of my acting and voice over career. I now have the courage and skill to develop colorful characters beyond what the audition sides dictate. I highly recommend this class to every voice over actor who is serious about taking their skills/career to the next level.”

I learned so much over our six weeks together. My performances have improved exponentially after taking her class. If your serious about your voice acting career, I highly recommend taking her class.”

“For those invaluable six Sundays, I have learned and grown so much under Catherine’s guidance. Her professionalism, remarkable skill, stories of the industry, constructive notes, and care for her students’ talent and well-being make Animmersion a special experience in the ongoing pursuit of honing the craft. Truly an honor and privilege to have been in her workshop!”

I recently had the pleasure of participating in Catherine Cavadini’s six-week long “Animmersion,” An Animation Voice Acting Workshop held at VoiceTrax West in Studio City this summer. The workshop was (as advertised) the perfect venue for releasing the voices “swimming around in your head!” Cathy’s extensive experience and expertise as actor, teacher and coach were key in helping me and nine other voice actors, successfully dip into our “pool,” and from it create at least a dozen distinctive character voices by the last session.
Mindful of everyone’s unique abilities and interests, Cathy encouraged us to select characters and personalities that appealed to us from an array of prototypes. Guided by in-class exercises, appropriate scripts and helpful weekly assignments, we each began developing our roster of characters and voices. When we reconvened at the studio for three hours each week, everyone had ample time to present their characters, perform their scripts, and receive direction from Cathy, all while being recorded by talented VoiceTrax engineer, Jenna. These recorded sessions were very helpful to refer to as we refined our characters.
In addition to teaching us the nuts and bolts of creating and voicing animation and interactive game characters, Cathy provided a wealth of information about auditioning and mic techniques, vocal health, and agent representation, among other things. Her workshop was informative, challenging, and very entertaining; e.g. in-studio performances were frequently punctuated by laughter and applause as signs of genuine appreciation for one another’s talent, creativity and growth! Both Catherine and her Animmersion workshop were exceptional!

Cathy has a unique ability to simultaneously challenge and inspire. She helped our class find skills and voices some of us didn’t even know we had. Her methods and personality really opened us up to looking at acting and character work in new ways. I can’t recommend her Annimersion class enough.

For years, I was interested in animation voice work, but wasn’t sure where to start. Cathy’s class was the perfect venue: she created an environment that made me feel safe enough to take risks, but she also challenged me to turn up my performance “to 11” on the dial, and embrace the boldness required by animation. Best of all, she has the skills and experience of a working professional, so you know you’re getting reliable information not just about technique, but about the behind-the-scenes machinery of the voiceover world.

Cathy is the rarest of teachers- an amazing voice talent who brings out the best in her students. I loved every week of her Annimersion workshop, which I took on the recommendation of someone I trust. Her class challenged me, gave me lots of time at the mic and her direction and perspective as a working, respected pro made it a privilege to be in her class.

Cathy Cavadini is the genuine article when it comes to voice over and I feel so lucky to have been guided under such wonderful tutelage. She has such respect for her students and I know that it comes from her immense respect for the craft. She will encourage you to take risks that will help you grow as an artist but will also push you to discover and exceed your true potential in the business. The quality of my work has vastly improved… and I know exactly why.
-Natalie Ciulla
As an alumni of this offering, I highly recommend it. You will find those voices inside that need to come out instead of waking you up at night. Or/And you get to have fun learning how to use them to your advantage. Thank you Catherine Cavadini!

I miss our Sunday workshops. That was honestly a life changing experience for me and I was so honored to be surrounded by such talent. What an inspiration.
-Leah Trank
Cathy, your class exceeded my already high expectations. Not only did I learn a tremendous amount with an idea of how to move forward, but I also appreciated your kind and encouraging approach. Your direction and re-direction are spot on and you have such an amazing ear.
Thanks!

Cathy, Let me start by saying this; your class is what I’ve always been looking for from a voice over for animation class. In 6 weeks, I have gone from being very doubting and having little to no self confidence to a person who feels like they can start to take on the voice over world. You’re an outstanding teacher. Thank you again for your professionalism and for being an amazing human being.
-Josh Owen
I cannot say enough about Catherine Cavadini. Not only is she a brilliant voice over talent herself, she is a truly wonderful and remarkable teacher. She is enthusiastic and encouraging, straightforward and realistic and doesn’t stop until she knows you “get it”. She genuinely cares about her students’ personal growth and progress, and is thrilled when she hears someone making that breakthrough. A truly lovely spirit with the serious chops to get you to do your very best.
And she is so much fun. You will laugh alot!
I recommend her class without any reservations whatsoever.

Cathy Cavadini is an insightful, warm and encouraging teacher. Cathy doesn’t just teach technique and skills for animation, she also pushes her students, in the best way possible, to be creative and bold. She is truly invested in her students’ growth and offers all the support necessary for her students to succeed. Cathy is an extraordinary teacher.

Between Cathy’s extensive knowledge of the voice over industry, her keen ability to help her students improve, and her nurturing and supportive teaching style, she is a student’s dream instructor. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take a well structured, intensive class in animation as well as for private instruction. It’s rare to find an instructor so passionate about her students, and Cathy is all that and more.
-Lia Fischer
When I got an audition with one of the top animation agencies in Los Angeles, I turned to Catherine Cavadini for help in preparing 10+ characters. An enthusiastic and supportive coach, Cathy has the ability to connect with her students to help them draw out all sorts of hidden and interesting characters. With her expert guidance, I signed with the agency and just booked my first job. Thanks Cathy for all your help!
-Noreen Reardon
I wholeheartedly recommend Catherine Cavadini’s Vocal Animation Workshop for Actors to any actor who wants to learn how to use their voice to create believable characters. Cathy’s workshop was revelatory to me on many levels. I learned how to approach a character (in terms of energy, pitch, tonality and variation) and to maintain my choices. Cathy gives specific direction, taping your performances so that you can listen to what you have done in order to keep what is good and improve what needs improvement. On the heels of taking Cathy’s workshop (and working with her privately), I just recorded my animation demo with her and Nick Omana, and could not be happier! The positive energy and direction I received in Cathy’s class was powerful; it was the momentum I needed to achieve this long term goal!!

A sweet note from my Junior High acting teacher:
After 57 years in the classroom and having directed, produced or acted in 200 productions, I can say that I have worked with and taught thousands of students…Cathy Cavadini is easily one of the ten most outstanding performers and human beings with whom I have ever worked…..Her performances in Our Town and Fiddler On The Roof are among my most treasured…she was not only a beautiful performer but she made me a better human being just by knowing her…I can endorse her program with total enthusiasm… her humanity and talent are infectious….
